Meet Soup!

We are thrilled to invite a new therapy dog in training to our team!

Soup is a Bernese Mountain dog with a story that touches everyone’s heart. In addition to providing a calm nervous system, emotional support and cuddles (when desired), Soup has a special talent in teaching about connection and trust.

Soup works alongside Provisional Psychologist, Sarah Mittelsteadt. To learn more about their work, visit Sarah’s profile or contact us for more information!

Animal-Assisted Therapy Available Evenings and Weekends

Finding yourself is not really how it works. You aren’t a ten-dollar bill in last winter’s coat pocket. You are also not lost.

Your true self is right here, buried under cultural conditioning, other people's opinions, and inaccurate conclusions you drew as a kid that became your beliefs about who you are. "Finding yourself" is actually returning to yourself. An unlearning, an excavation, a remembering who you were before the world got its hands on you."

Anxiety

Our nervous systems work to protect us from threats in our environment. The good news is that an overactive or anxious nervous system can be treated, and we can learn boundaries, coping skills, and how to focus on what we CAN control.

Depression

We believe that a negative thought process is a main contributor to depression. By identifying what those thoughts are and changing what they sound like, we can influence your mood and emotional experience. We will also help you pinpoint other factors- both current and historical- that may be contributing to depression and support you through the process of changing those factors.

Identity

We often hear “I just want to figure out who I am.” Although it sounds daunting, we love this goal. Therapy is a great opportunity to explore, change or create our identities. Let us help you create a life you are excited to wake up to every day.

Stress

It’s 2025 and life is intense. Finding balance between all of our obligations can be a challenge. We often use the metaphor that burnout happens when our “bucket is too full.” Therapy can help create some room in that bucket to handle the new challenges that life will inevitably throw our way.
