She / Her
I truly believe that one of the most important factors that determines therapeutic success is a strong therapeutic alliance- as such, I encourage everyone to come as you are and be your authentic self and I will do the same. A goal of mine is to provide a safe space, free of judgement, where we can work together to help reach your personal goals! I like to tailor my approach to each individual and incorporate a lot of collaboration to ensure that each client’s goals and intents are heard and addressed in ways that best suit them.
I tend to use more of an informal approach; we deal with a lot of serious and challenging themes and I find it can be helpful and easier for clients to open up in a more relaxed environment. Some things you can expect from our sessions would be empathy, authenticity and of course, laughter- it’s good for the soul!
I work with teens and adults for a variety of concerns, such as stress management and burnout, depression, trauma, anxiety, and relationship management. I also provide ADHD assessments for children six years of age and older, adolescents and adults. I incorporate themes of mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy.
I’m a small town girl, born and raised in Medicine Hat, who moved to the big city originally to complete my undergraduate degree. I fell in love with the city and was lucky enough to find my person here, so Edmonton is my forever home! I love to travel and I’m a huge horror movie and true crime podcast aficionado. My partner and I were that couple that got a puppy during COVID, so much of my free time is spent throwing a tennis ball and going for walks!
I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta and my Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
My mom always told me to strive to do my best, never sell myself short, and always trust my gut.
I love to travel and I’ve never been to Europe, so I would love to do a Euro Trip with my boyfriend and experience the history and culture, and of course, the wine!
This is a surprisingly difficult question! I think I would be a monkey – they are incredibly cute, live in warm, jungly environments and have hilarious personalities.
You would definitely find me on a beach reading a book in the sun, throwing around the football and having a picnic with my boyfriend and puppy!
I’m a huge theatre nerd- I’ve seen more Broadway shows than I can count and I play the piano and sing myself. I used to do a bunch of community theatre in my hometown.
